FEAPS.
Throughout my time as pre-service teacher, I will be evaluated, as well as evaluating myself, based on on my performance, goal setting, and evidence of growth based on the 6 FEAPs. The Florida Educator Accomplished Practices (FEAPs) are Florida's core standards for effective educators. I will work with my collaborating teachers (CT) and partnership resource teacher (PRT) to help aide in my development to ultimately reach all my goals. I plan on tracking my goal setting, performance and growth on this page and throughout my blog, thus allowing me to easily track my progress and provide evidence of improvement.

FALL 2013
(September)
Goals for the learning environment (FEAP 2)
My goal is to model clear, acceptable oral and written communication skills that are appropriate, understandable and precise. I plan on meeting this goal by maintaining communications with student through oral and written instruction in order to organize, allocate and manage resources of time space and attention. It is my intention to make sure my vocabulary and jargon are on level, my questioning is appropriate and I am not making false assumptions.
Goals for continuous improvement, responsibility and ethics (FEAP 5)
My goal is to design purposeful professional goals to strengthen the effectiveness of instruction based on students’ needs. I plan on meeting this goal by setting a personal/ academic goal each week and to be able to implement any new strategies that I may be learning in class.
Goals for professional responsibility and ethical conduct (FEAP 6)
My primary goal is to maintain my professional responsibility that I am already conveying. I plan on meeting this goal by uphold my commitment to mine and the school boards ethical code of conduct.

Spring 2014
(February)
FEAP 1: a. Aligns instruction with state-adopted standards at the appropriate level of rigor.
I plan on meeting this goal by planning and delivering standard-based instruction to my small groups. By focusing my instruction on benchmarks and standards, I will be able to meet my students’ needs and enrich them in content knowledge while in a small group environment. I plan on bettering my instruction in context clues, vocabulary and ultimately comprehension.
FEAP 2: a. Organizes, allocates, and manages the resources of time, space, and attention.
I plan on attaining this goal by managing myself throughout the day. I will be in control of my time management, space management, and management of attention to details. My time in the classroom is vital, so by managing the time that I have wisely in order to get the most out of my pre-service experience, I must organize and allocate my resources well.
c. Conveys high expectations to all students.
I plan on attaining this goal by holding each student to the same standards that my CT’s hold the students to. By having high expectations in and out of the classroom for each student, I will be able to help the student maintain and/or grow in their ability to be self-sufficient and responsible third graders.
FEAPS 5: a. Designs purposeful professional goals to strengthen the effectiveness of instruction based on students’ needs.
I will meet this goal by using my course work and other areas of growth and learning to help transform my instruction in the classroom currently and in the future. By always focusing on my students’ needs first then being able to pull from my knowledge to help better my instruction, I will guide the students to learning what they need to know.
e. Engages in targeted professional growth opportunities and reflective practices.
I will maintain this goal by attending SCATTER workshops and seeking out other areas of professional development. These opportunities will help me to build my knowledge and better my practices in the classroom.
f. Implements knowledge and skills learned in professional development in the teaching and learning process.
I will obtain this goal by reflecting on my learning experiences and applying my knowledge appropriately. This will require me to speak up and ask to implement an idea that I learned about.
FEAP 6: Adhere to the code of ethics for educators.
I will attain this goal by continuing to dress appropriately and showing up to school and class on time.
